Programmes have been developed in collaboration with CWW Mind, and include evidence-based approaches, basketball activities and coaching. We use interactive presentations including videos to trigger discussions.
There are 3 programmes to choose from:
- Becoming a Guardian Baller. Sessions progress from introducing wellbeing, exploring identity and emotional intelligence, establishing foundations of wellbeing (and individual strengths). Once individuals are ready, we discuss vulnerability, personal growth and building resilience before addressing self-empowerment, social connections and finally celebrating what has been achieved, and planning how to maintain their wellbeing.
- “LEVEL UP” programme: This is aimed at progressing an individuals’ confidence and leadership characteristics, encouraging personal development and aspiring to reach their potential. Ideally, individuals attending this programme would, first, have completed the “Becoming a Guardian Baller” programme.
- EmbRACE programme: This has recently been developed in collaboration with Tiana Holgate, EDI Consultant, and addresses the trauma of racial discrimination.
Please contact us for a discussion if you are unsure which programme would best suit the individual that you wish to refer, and whether they would benefit from attending a group or 1:1 session (see “Guardian Ballers one-to-one Basketball and Wellbeing Sessions” entry). - Awarding Body
