Intuitive Thinking Skills (ITS) protective behaviours mentoring provision, can be delivered either through one-to-one delivery or in groups by a highly trained, lived experience mentor.
The provision provides tailored learning that supports young people to be safety aware both on and offline.
The delivery includes holistic assessments, motivational interviewing and cognitive behaviour techniques that have been co-produced and are delivered in an age-appropriate manner. Our course is responsive to the learner’s identified goals and caters to their challenges.
Young people will learn to recognising early warning signs, analyse risky situations, develop support networks with trusted people and know how to act to protect themselves when they feel unsafe in a range of topics including,
• Drugs & Alcohol Abstinence/Awareness
• Gangs, County Lines, Cuckooing & Knife Crime
• Sexual Health & Healthy Relationships
• Social media & online Safety
• Cannabis Awareness
• Criminal & Sexual exploitation
Mindset topics can include (although not limited to),
• Ambivalence, Procrastination & transposing
• Critical Thinking Skills
• Changing Language and Mind-set
• Anger Management
• Managing Mental Health
• Reasoning & Decision Making
• Regaining Self-Control
• Respect & Tolerance
• Defining Values - Course Modules

Young people will be equipped with information to be able to make informed decisions when presented with the option of experimenting.

Staff have lived experience of overcoming life challenges and utilise this experience to connect and build relationships with young people.
Staff are experienced in delivering mentoring and group programmes to young people (2+ years), hold Level 3 Award in Education and Training, minimum Level 2 safeguarding, PREVENT, GDPR, professional boundaries, Level 2 Health and Safety and risk assessment training. - Delivery Area

- Our Intuitive Thinking Skills, protective behaviours course is delivered over a minimum of 1-hour long session per week. The course can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting with up to 5 young people. There is an option to extend if required.
- Cost of Course
- Face to face mentoring (1:1) - £220 per hour per young person if booked by the hour. Digital mentoring (1:1) - £80 per hour per young person. £400 per half day (3 hours) - Can be for a group booking or multiple one to one sessions (maximum of 3 sessions). £700 per full day (6 hours) - Can be for 2 X group bookings or multiple one to one sessions (maximum of 6 sessions)
