Our fees are reviewed annually on 1 April. Please note that the price you pay will be based on the year your ceremony takes place, not when the booking or payment is made.

 

 

 

Fees

Booking Your Ceremony

You can book your ceremony in the following ways:

  • Up to 12 months in advance – standard bookings can be made within this timeframe
  • More than 12 months in advance – available through our Save the Date service for an additional fee

If you choose not to use the Save the Date service, bookings will only open 12 months before your ceremony date.

Payment Options

  • If your ceremony is more than 4 months away, you will have the option to pay a deposit, with the remaining balance due later
  • If your ceremony is within 4 months, the full balance must be paid at the time of booking
  • With our online booking system, you can log into your portal whenever it suits you and make payments at a time that works for you

Legal Paperwork

If you are booking a marriage or civil partnership, your legal paperwork (schedule) will only be issued once you have completed your notice of intention appointment.

Save the Date Service

If you wish to secure your ceremony date more than 12 months in advance, you can use our Save the Date service.

  • A fee applies (see pricing section)
  • This payment is not a deposit and will not be deducted from your final balance

Save the Date & Deposit Fees

If you wish to secure your ceremony more than 12 months in advance, our Save the Date service allows you to reserve your preferred date. A separate booking deposit will then be required once your ceremony is confirmed.

The Save the Date fee is non-refundable and is not deducted from your final balance.

Manor Experience (Library Room only)

  • Save the Date fee: £50.00

  • Deposit: £100.00

Royal Experience – Queen Isabella Room, Black Prince Room

  • Save the Date fee: £75.00

  • Deposit: £150.00

Majestic Experience – Queen Isabella Room, Black Prince Room

  • Save the Date fee: £100.00

  • Deposit: £200.00

Signature Venue Ceremony

  • Save the Date fee: £100.00
  • Deposit: £250.00

Amendments and Corrections

Changes to Your Ceremony Booking

If you need to make a change to the date or time of your ceremony, an amendment fee will be charged.

Please note:

  • Only one amendment to your booking is permitted

Examples of an amendment include:

  • Changing your ceremony date
  • Changing your ceremony time

Changes such as upgrading your package or adding extras may not require an amendment fee—please contact the team for advice.

Corrections to Certificates or Entries

A correction is required when there is an error in the legal record or certificate after your ceremony has taken place.

Fees apply as follows:

  • £99.00 as your application must be referred to the Registrar General for consideration

Examples of a correction include:

  • Spelling errors in names
  • Incorrect dates of birth
  • Errors in recorded details such as occupation or address

All correction requests must be supported by appropriate evidence and are subject to approval under national regulations.

All applicable fees can be paid by debit or credit card.

Cancelling or Postponing Your Ceremony

The following terms apply if you need to cancel or postpone your marriage, civil partnership, renewal of vows, or naming ceremony.

Refunds and Administration Fees

Where a cancellation is made, the total fee paid will be refunded minus an administration fee (deposit paid), as outlined below:

  • Register Office Ceremonies
    Refund less £25 administration fee
  • Queen Isabella Room
    • Royal Experience: Refund less £150 administration fee
    • Majestic Experience: Refund less £200 administration fee
  • Library Room (Manor Experience)
    Refund less £100 administration fee
  • Black Prince Room
    • Royal Experience: Refund less £150 administration fee
    • Majestic Experience: Refund less £200 administration fee
  • Approved Venue Ceremonies (Signature Venue Ceremony)
    Refund less £250 administration fee

Important Information

  • No refund will be issued if you cancel less than three months before your ceremony date

  • No refund will be issued if you fail to notify the Register Office of your cancellation

  • No refund will be issued if you do not attend your scheduled ceremony
