Booking your marriage or civil partnership ceremony with us is simple and straightforward. Follow the steps below to secure your special date and begin planning your perfect day.

Step 1 – Choose Your Venue, Package & Date

Start by deciding where you would like your ceremony to take place:

• At Cheylesmore Manor House in one of our three historic ceremony rooms
• At an approved venue of your choice
• Or in our Register Office for a simple statutory ceremony

We recommend checking availability with your chosen approved venue before beginning your booking.

If your preferred date is more than 12 months away, you may wish to use our Save the Date service to secure it in advance.

Step 2 – Book Your Ceremony Online

Once you have chosen your venue, package and date, you can book your ceremony quickly and easily using our online booking system.

You will be guided through:

• Choosing your room or venue
• Selecting your ceremony package
• Confirming your date and time
• Paying your deposit or full fee (depending on how far in advance you are booking)

Step 3 – Confirm Your Booking

• If your ceremony is more than 12 months away, you can secure your booking by using our Save the Date Service
• If your ceremony is more than 4 months away, you can secure your booking with a deposit
• If your ceremony is within 4 months, the full balance will be required at the time of booking

Once your booking is complete, you will receive confirmation details and access to your ceremony booking portal.

Step 4 – Give Legal Notice

Before your ceremony can take place, you must give legal notice of your intention to marry or form a civil partnership.

• Notice must be given at least 28 days before your ceremony
• You must have booked your ceremony first before arranging your notice appointment

Step 5 – Personalise Your Ceremony

Once your booking is confirmed, you can start planning and adding personal touches to your ceremony:

• Choose from our enhanced ceremony options
• Add extras such as music, confetti, or live streaming
• Meet with our Ceremony Co-ordinator by booking an appointment HERE (included in selected packages) to tailor your ceremony

You can make updates:

• At the end of your booking
• Through your online portal
• Or by contacting us at ceremonyco-ordinator@coventry.gov.uk
